Your first visit

What to expect, from booking to aftercare.

No surprises, no hard sell, no rushing. Here is the whole appointment, step by step, and how to prepare for each service.

    Booking

    Choose a service and a time online, or call or text Martha. You get a reference straight away.

  2. 02

    Confirmation

    Martha confirms every booking personally, usually within a day, by text or email. If a different time suits better, she will say so.

  3. 03

    Arrival

    Suite 263, 3505 Camino del Rio South, with easy parking. Arrive five to ten minutes early for a first visit to fill in a short form.

  4. 04

    Consultation

    A few minutes about your skin, sensitivities, medication and goals. Ask anything. This is what makes the treatment gentle.

  5. 05

    Your treatment

    Martha performs every service herself, talks you through each step, and adjusts as she goes. Say the word and she slows down.

  6. 06

    Aftercare

    Clear, written aftercare and honest advice about when to come back. No products pushed, no packages.

Preparation and aftercare

A little preparation, a lot less discomfort.

Waxing

  • Hair at least ¼ inch long, about two to three weeks of growth
  • No sun, exfoliants or retinol for 24 to 48 hours before
  • Clean skin: no lotions or oils on the day
  • After: no hot baths, sun or exfoliating for 24 hours

Massage

  • Arrive hydrated, and skip a large meal just before
  • Tell Martha where the tension is, and anything to avoid
  • Pressure can change at any point: just say
  • After: drink plenty of water for the rest of the day

Lashes

  • Come with clean lashes: no mascara
  • Full sets take 1 hr 20 min to 2 hrs, so get comfortable
  • After: keep them dry and away from steam for 24 hours
  • Fills every two to three weeks, with 40% or more still on
Policies

The small print, kindly put.

A solo practice runs on everyone keeping their word. These are the few things Martha asks.

  • 0124 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule. Late cancellations and no-shows may be charged.
  • 02Arrive early for a first visit. A late start may mean a shorter treatment at the full price, so the next client isn't kept waiting.
  • 03One discount per visit: 15% off your first service, or 15% off every visit for active duty and veterans.
  • 04Women only. The studio is a women-only space.
  • 05Pay at the studio, in US dollars, after your appointment.
Does waxing hurt?
Some discomfort is normal, and anyone who promises none isn't being straight with you. Martha's method is built to make it noticeably less: careful preparation, wax made for sensitive skin, practised technique, and talking you through every step.
How do I book?

What is the cancellation policy?
Life happens. Please give at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule. Late cancellations and no-shows may be charged a fee.
Do you offer a first-visit discount?
Yes: 15% off your first service. Mention it when you book. Active duty and veterans get 15% off every visit. One discount per visit.
How should I prepare for a wax?
Hair should be at least ¼ inch long, about two to three weeks of growth. Avoid sun, exfoliants and retinol for 24 to 48 hours beforehand, and come with clean skin, no lotions or oils.
What should I wear for a massage?
Something comfortable. You undress to your own comfort level and stay properly draped throughout the session.
How long do lash extensions last?
With good care, two to three weeks before a fill. Fills need at least 40% of your extensions still on; below that, it's a new full set.
Are your products safe for sensitive skin?
Martha uses professional-grade products chosen with sensitive skin in mind. Tell her about any allergies or sensitivities at the consultation and she will adjust the treatment.
